  Purpose: Performs administrative and financial management tasks related to, and assists with the implementation of the County's Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) programs. Currently, Lexington County has eight (8) ongoing federal grants, Community Development Block Grant (CDBG), Community Development Block Grant – Coronavirus (CDBG-CV), HOME Investment Partnership Program (HOME), HOME-American Rescue Plan (HOME-ARP), Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG), Emergency Solutions Grant – Coronavirus (ESG-CV), Community Development Block Grant – Disaster Recovery (CDBG-DR) and Community Development Block Grant – Mitigation (CDBG-MIT). Works with departmental staff, other county departments, contractors and sub-recipients to ensure all federal, state and local regulations, ordinances, policies and procedures are understood and the compliance to same is obtained and maintained. Participates in the program procurement and financial management activities, reviews invoices and recommends payments; prepares financial documents and reports; performs program monitoring and reporting; assists in the preparation of all reports for documentation of grant administration and fiscal accountability. Assists with development of Departmental Annual Budget Requests, monitors activities related to budget implementation.
Description: In compliance with County of Lexington policies and procedures, creates payment vouchers, initiates and monitors all financial and procurement activities for the Department of Community Development HUD Grants programs using both the Integrated Disbursement and Information System (IDIS) and Disaster Recovery Grant Reporting (DRGR) system, preparing back-up documentation, obtaining approvals, reconciling balances, and maintaining back-up documentation to support these actions. Provides necessary research for and prepares appropriate documentation necessary to meet all required financial and procurement needs of the programs. Works closely with staff from County Finance Department and County Procurement Department to ensure all Federal, State and County financial and procurement standards are met. Description:
  Purpose: The Public Information Officer operates as the media liaison for the County by generating stories and content for the County’s social media channels, as well as with local media outlets. The PIO also receives, interprets, tracks and responds to requests for public documents submitted to the County through the Freedom of Information Act. Additionally, the PIO responds to requests for comment and interviews with local media outlets and is essential personnel during times of emergency such as fires, HAZMAT scenarios, inclement weather and other similarly related events. Description: ? Creating engaging stories for County departments and disseminating that information to the County’s residents, to keep them informed of the County’s daily operations and projects.
