Officers Seize Methamphetamine Laboratory

Officers with the Lexington County Multi-Agency Narcotics Enforcement Team (NET) on Friday, June 13 seized a methamphetamine laboratory that was being operated at a home on Bub Wise Road near Swansea. Officers arrested a 27-year-old St. George woman and a 35-year-old Swansea woman on charges that they operated the methamphetamine laboratory. Officers also arrested a 41-year-old Swansea woman on charges of receiving stolen goods.

Lexington County Sheriff James R. Metts said NET officers arrested Misty Dawn Rollison, 27, of 258 Polly Road, St. George, Ruby Letitia Williamson, 41, of 201 Bub Wise Road, Swansea, and Danielle Marie Smoak, 35, of 201 Bub Wise Road, Swansea. Rollison, Williamson, and Smoak were being held on Saturday, June 14 at the Lexington County Detention Center while awaiting bond hearings.

Officers arrested Rollison and Smoak on charges of manufacturing of methamphetamine, Metts said. Officers arrested Williamson on charges of receiving stolen goods valued at $5,000 or more and possession of methamphetamine.

At about 10:15 p.m. on Friday June 13, deputies went to Smoak and Williamson’s home to investigate a tip they received about a possible stolen tractor trailer and narcotics use, Metts said. Officers discovered a tractor trailer that had previously been reported stolen on the property as well as a methamphetamine laboratory which had been operated inside the trailer.

Metts asked anyone with information about illegal drug activity in Lexington County to call the Lexington County Sheriff’s Department at (803) 785-8230 or CrimeStoppers at 1-888-CRIME-SC. Citizens also can provide information anonymously by accessing the Crime Tip link on the Sheriff’s Department web site (

NET is comprised of officers from the Lexington County Sheriff’s Department, Batesburg-Leesville Police Department and Lexington Police Department, Metts said. The sheriff and municipal police chiefs implemented NET in 2001 in order to enhance drug enforcement in Lexington County.
