Woman Wanted for Breaking Into Home and Stealing Six Firearms

Lexington County Sheriff’s Department detectives are seeking help from citizens in finding a 28-year-old woman who is wanted on an arrest warrant on a charge of first-degree burglary. The arrest warrant alleges that the woman broke into a home on Shirway Road near Lexington on August 20 and stole six firearms as well as a half-gallon of vodka.

Lexington County Sheriff James R. Metts said detectives are seeking help in finding Tabitha Ann Bryant, 28, who does not have a permanent address. Bryant, who is wanted on the arrest warrant on a charge of first-degree burglary, is 5-foot-5 and weighs 120 pounds. Bryant has brown hair and brown eyes. Bryant has a flowers tattoo on the right side of her abdomen, a flowers tattoo on her right arm and a flowers tattoo on the center of her back.

Metts said Bryant should be considered to be armed and dangerous. The sheriff asked anyone with information concerning the whereabouts of Bryant to contact the Lexington County Sheriff’s Department at (803) 785-8230 or CrimeStoppers at 1-888-CRIME-SC. Citizens also can provide information anonymously by accessing the Crime Tip link on the Sheriff’s Department web site (www.lexingtonsheriff.com).

The arrest warrant alleges that between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. on August 20 Bryant broke into the Shirway Road home and stole six firearms, including one .357-magnum Smith & Wesson handgun, one .22-caliber Stevens rifle, one 12-gauge shotgun, one Remington pump-action, .22-caliber rifle, one 7-mm magnum Remington rifle, with a scope, and one 30-30 rifle, with a scope, Metts said.
