PAY PROPERTY & VEHICLE TAXES -- PRINT RECEIPTS

Please Read Before Proceeding

The Lexington County Treasurer's Office offers several convenient ways to pay your taxes. In addition to paying your taxes in person or through the mail, we accept online debit/credit cards (MasterCard, Visa, Discover, and American Express) and electronic check.

Your online payment will be processed by SC.GOV, a third party, working under contract administered by the State of South Carolina Budget and Control Board, Division of State Information Technology (DSIT). The amount charged in excess of the taxes owed is kept by the payment processor and not passed on to Lexington County. These funds are used to develop, maintain, enhance, and expand the service offerings of the state's portal.

Online payment services are not available if any prior year taxes are owed. To pay and ask questions about previous year tax bills, please visit the Delinquent Tax Office at 212 South Lake Drive in Lexington, SC.

An online payment that returns for any reason will be subject to a $25.00 Fee.

For online vehicle tax payments, the SC.GOV receipt made available to you to print after completing your tax payment IS NOT ACCEPTED as proof of payment at the DMV office.

To obtain a copy of a DMV ACCEPTED RECEIPT press "Continue" after you have completed your transaction in SC.GOV, you will be redirected back to the Pay Property and Vehicle Taxes/Print Receipts page. Once you enter your Tax Bill Number you will be given the opportunity to print the DMV ACCEPTED RECEIPT.

You should receive your DMV decal within 5-7 business days. The decal will come from the South Carolina Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) Office. If you do not receive the decal within 5-7 business days, please call 1-803-896-5000.
