News/Upcoming Events

The Lexington County Stormwater Division has begun gathering information on stormwater and water quality and may need access to private property to make observations (i.e. if you have a stream in your backyard).  Staff is making sure that there are no unexpected connections (i.e. wash tubs, septic fields, floor drains, etc) to the stormwater system which could pollute our streams and lakes.  Our visits are for informational purposes only, including noting which streams are not receiving pollutants. For more information contact Synithia Williams, the Environmental Coordinator, at swilliams@lex-co.com or 803-785-8634.
