Plans for residential development in the unincorporated areas of Lexington County are filed with the Community Development Department and then forwarded to Public Works’ Stormwater Section for review. All plans submitted must include every item listed on the Checklist for Residential Development in Lexington County. All plan revisions are submitted in directly to the Stormwater Section.
The Stormwater Management South Carolina Department of Health & Environmental Control Standard Application Form for Construction Sites (Level III Application) must be turned in with residential plans along with appropriate County and DHEC fees.
Once reviewed and approved, Public Works will forward all appropriate applications and fees to DHEC.
When the Lexington County Public Works' Stormwater Division receives notice of coverage under the NPDES General Permit for Stormwater Discharges from Large & Small Construction Activities, a County Land Disturbance Permit will be issued.
NOTE: Work cannot begin on your site until your site is covered under the NPDES General Permit.
