#TITLE# SECTION 125 INSURANCE PLAN
#DESC# The County of Lexington is seeking competitive proposals for the administration of an IRS Section 125 Insurance Plan for the employees and their dependents. Qualified offerors shall be authorized to sell and market all products offered and shall administer the program. The Section 125 plan will offer at a minimum: long term care, term life insurance, vision care, accident insurance, cancer policy with specified disease rider, hospital intensive care protection, voluntary indemnity plan, and flexible spending accounts for medical expenses and dependent care. Other available post-tax policies include family legal plans, personal short term disability, long term disability, guaranteed issue/guaranteed rate portable universal life insurance, as well as a term life alternative insurance plan. All plans are 100% employee paid through payroll deduction. The insurance firm will implement the premium conversion portion of the entire plan to include pre-tax enrollment for the County’s health insurance program premiums. The County does not contribute to the cost of these benefits. Firm should explain standard underwriting requirements; however the County will place a preference on guaranteed issue products.
