Officers with the Lexington County Multi-Agency Narcotics Enforcement Team (NET) on Tuesday, June 10 served arrest warrants on two men who were wanted for distributing marijuana and methamphetamine together from the men’s respective homes on Bluefield Road and Wolverton Mountain Lane near Lexington.

Lexington County Sheriff James R. NET officers found evidence that a methamphetamine laboratory had been operated at Busbee’s home as well as 19 marijuana plants, one handgun and one motor vehicle that had been reported stolen, Metts said. Officers arrested Busbee and booked Busbee at the county Detention Center at 8:42 a.m. on Tuesday.

Officers executed a search warrant at Horton’s home and found four reaction vessels that actively were being used to manufacture methamphetamine as well as marijuana, three firearms, including one firearm that had been reported stolen, and one stolen motor vehicle, Metts said.

Metts asked anyone with information about illegal drug activity in Lexington County to call the Lexington County Sheriff’s Department at (803) 785-8230 or CrimeStoppers at 1-888-CRIME-SC.
