Sheriff's Department Holiday Food Drive

The Columbia Classic Chevy Club will host a drop-in between 5 p.m. and 9 p.m. on Saturday, October 10 at the Woodberry Plaza parking lot at the intersection of Woodberry Road and U.S. 1 near West Columbia in order to allow citizens to drop off non-perishable food items for an annual holiday food drive conducted by the Lexington County Sheriff’s Department.

Lexington County Sheriff James R. Metts said he is grateful that the Columbia Classic Chevy Club will host the drop-in and assist the Sheriff’s Department in conducting its annual Thanksgiving holiday food drive. The Sheriff’s Department later will deliver donated non-perishable food items to Harvest Hope Food Bank and Lexington Interfaith Community Services, which provide food to Lexington County residents who are need of assistance.
