General Information

Title 12, Chapter 59 of the SC Code of Laws creates a forfeited land commission in each of the state’s counties and prescribes its membership and duties. One of those duties is to dispose of property the commission acquires at delinquent tax sales because no other buyers bid an amount equal to the delinquent taxes and penalties owed on the property.

The Lexington County Forfeited Land Commission sells mobile homes that it has acquired in this manner by sealed bid. Prospective bidders may obtain a listing of available mobile homes by visiting the Mobile Homes for Sale section of this web site.

The form to use for a sealed bid is available to print out: Forfeited Land Bid Form
