Many important civic responsibilities are exercised by members of boards and commissions. Depending on their legal functions and duties, boards and commissions may have policy, management, quasi-governmental, quasi-judicial or simply advisory authority. County government has varying relationships with a variety of boards and commissions. County Council appoints one or more of the members on the following boards and commissions that serve the county or region.
